    About the Role

    We are looking for a Mid-Level Java Developer to join a development team working on solutions for a major client in the automotive industry.

    The role combines hands-on backend development with cloud technologies. A strong interest in AWS is particularly important, as the team is currently expanding its cloud capabilities and would benefit from someone who can actively contribute their AWS knowledge.

    You will work in an international, collaborative environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain software applications using Java and Spring Boot

    • Design and implement clean, maintainable and scalable solutions

    • Work with AWS cloud services and contribute to the team's cloud capabilities

    • Collaborate with the team on software architecture, development and technical improvements

    • Contribute to CI/CD, testing and deployment automation

    • Work with modern web technologies, including Angular where applicable

    • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing

    • Troubleshoot and continuously improve existing solutions

    • Work closely with distributed, international teams.

    Job requirements

    Must-have-Requirements

    • Professional experience with Java

    • Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot

    • Hands-on experience with AWS in a professional environment

    • Good understanding of software development principles, Clean Code and SOLID

    • Experience with unit testing, ideally JUnit

    • Good knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices

    • Experience with relational databases

    • Good communication and teamwork skills

    • Fluent English, written and spoken

    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

    Nice-to-have-Requirements

    • Experience with Angular

    • Experience with React or other modern frontend technologies

    • Experience with microservices and distributed systems

    • Docker / containerization experience

    • Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD

    • Experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube

    • Previous experience in the automotive industry

    • German language skills.
